Today my long-awaited new lens arrived – the Tamron 24-70mm f2.8. Excited to try out my new ‘baby’ I eagerly put it on my camera and headed out to the garden to capture some sunflowers that Oscar had planted. Last time I saw them they were in bloom and I thought they would be the perfect subject for my test drive. When I got outside I was surprised to see they were droopy and wilted (‘Who wouldn’t be in this heat?’ I thought) – the saddest looking sunflowers around. I took a few snaps anyway and I think they turned out quite interesting and even a little Dali-esque.
